I have a perfectly working epub file converted from ID CC.

But if I convert to mobi with KindlePreviewer and upload it to Kindle on my iPad it loses the embedded fonts. I have even tried to replace the embedded fonts in case InDesign did something to them that wasn’t accepted in Kindle.

I have to use embedded fonts because I have many special characters in my book that is not in Kindles standard fonts.
I am worried because the same problem and the same solutions that I have tried were described in a thread some time ago, with no working solution it seems. And I see many others on the net describing similar problems.

EPUB fonts not working in kindle mobi.

Kindle for iPad is a huge platform, there must be a solution!
Anyone got ideas? or same experience?

If you are looking for fixed layout KF8 then CircularFLO https://www.CircularFLO.com is commercial software which creates Amazon KF8 directly from InDesign and supports live text without these issues.
