    I create a PDF catalog that is an assembly of about 140 files covering about 1800 pages of content. I need to create a version that will work on tablets, especially iPad. The challenge is that the files rely heavily on links between each other (index, TOC, cross reference, etc.) and these don't seem to work between files, only within files. Is PDF the best format? Will ID 5.5 work better than ID 5? I'm really not sure what the best approach is, even after doing quite a bit of research on the internet and reading multiple blogs including from this site. Is there a good reference on how to do this that I've missed? Any insite would be much appreciated.

    One of our IT guys helped me with this and it's not so difficult as I thought it would be.
