    I recently tried to export a customer's InDesign file to Digital Editions to create an epub but it failed to export. Assuming it was embedded eps files in the document that might be causing the problem, I rebuilt the file and replaced them with jpeg and the file exported. Was I correct about the embedded files being the cause of the problem? Or does anyone know of other issues that might affect exporting to Digital Editions?

    I would steer clear of any eps files for any Indesign docs for any purpose, and as for embedding them, no way.

    Mostly I use Illustrator files (.ai) for vector graphics but have a few .eps files on my hard disk. Should I resave them as .ai files?

    What's wrong with EPS files? So long as they are not imbedded and are imported properly, I don't understand the reason to steer clear of them.

    Mostly EPS files are way bigger in file size then Illustrator files. I wouldn't convert just because.

    I've only dived once in the Epub format and I faced the same problem; Abobe just published a nice article on how to handle the Epub format. For now I know you have use paragraph/character styles consistent.
