I have PSD files of 180 ppi that if placed while the Selection tool is selected, I get a loaded pointer and the imaged dropped onto the page is 180 real and 180 effective resolution, at a little under 39 picas wide. Perfect. However, if I place while my I-beam is at the left margin in text, I get a decent-size frame — although I don’t know where the size comes from, but anyway it’s not bad — but the graphic on the inside is way too large, at 101 effective.

If I manually make a graphic frame at 39p, the images comes a lot smaller, but is still about 14p too wide.

The point is that if my I-beam is in text and I place a 180-ppi graphic, can I get inDesign to use that 180 as an effective resolution? I just don’t think I should have to make a custom object and those extra clicks.

Using ID 14.0.1 on Mojave 10.14.3
