      Hi all,

Hope someone can help with a color issue I'm trying to solve. I've been using inDesgn a lot lately for large website layout. One technique that has really worked well for me on several projects so far, is creating content buckets as individual indd files, then placing them into larger “page” files as needed. My current project is based on a simple 2-color scheme, where the colors can change based on the clients whim. I figured I would just create 2 swatches and ensure that every object that required either color, would just get set using the appropriate swatch. The idea being that I could change/test all the colors before implemeting them in the css code. The idea works fine, unless the color resides in any of the placed indd files… in which case I can't update or manage at all.

Simply put, is it possible to edit a global swatch so that it updates througout the document, without having to open every placed indd file to change it manually?

      Any help is appreciated!

      Thanks

Just to clarify, I know that I can create a book and synchronize styles accross all the chapters… but this issue is a bit different. I'm looking to synchronize the color swatches between the placed files within the chapters.

      Hope that makes sense.

I wonder if ink aliasing might be the way to go:

Wow, great suggestion! Never knew that existed, but makes perfect sense. I tried it out and it looks like it's gonna do the trick.

      Thanks SO much!
