Dynamic Content for apps…Is it possible?

      Is it possible to create layout templates in InDesign and publish them as apps that call a web service (JSON, XML, REST) to populate the text and images? Or is the normal process republish when you have new content? Does the InDesign server provide any dynamic data capability for apps? Thanks.

      InDesign is very scriptable, and it has some significant XML options. But InDesign Server gives you even more options, especially for fast-paced automated production. There are some good “off the shelf” places to start with Server, if you want to go that route, including PrintUI.com and SiliconPublishing.com
