Drop Cap Not Really Flush Left?

      Hi All,

      This is more of a general question regarding drop caps in ID. When I’ve used a drop cap in ID, it seems that, no matter what font the drop cap is in, that the left edge of the cap letter doesn’t touch the left edge of the text frame like the regular text after it does. I don’t have text insets in the text frame.

      Has ID ever ‘fixed’ this? Or is there a setting or trick that will make this work and appear correct?

      If you look in your paragraph style, under ‘Drop Caps’, you’ll see a tick box called ‘Align Left Edge’. I think that could be your man.

      Thanks Salieri,

      That fixed it. Why it isn’t on by default is beyond me.
