Please excuse me if this does not make sense at first as I am relatively new to InDesign.

I am creating lanyards and would like to print of the facing page (name, org) and on the back have an itinerary.

I would like to print out multiple lanyards on 1 A3 page with the facing and back pages lined up for cutting.

Is this possible without manually flipping the paper over when it comes time to print?

      Thank you in advance.

      R.

      R,

are you printing this on a little printer, or is it a print job? In the first case, can your printer do double sided printing? If yes, just set it to double sided printing.

Multiple on A3. Make a dummy first so you can check if all is well imposed.

If you're sending it to a printer, jut give him to final format and the quantity. He will do the rest himself.

      Renzopri,

Gert is right. The trick is getting the imposition correct. I do lots of these lanyards with names on front and back. It sounds like your back side is common to all lanyards, so it shouldn't be a big issue. Just be sure you lay out the front and back sides correctly in relation to each other so they will print the right way.

As for flipping the paper manually, this is a printer issue, not InDesign. If you printer can print duplex, you need to go to the printer settings in the print dialog to set that up. Otherwise, you will have to manually put the paper in twice.

Note that some desktop printers that do duplex have very strange behaviors when they do, and will resize the image, or change the margins. It may be the best to do it manually anyway if you need precise image placement.
