Document window opens behind control panel

      This is driving me crazy! When opening an InDesign document it automatically fills the whole screen with the top bar behind the control panel. I thought it was solved when I “docked” the control panel to the top, but it still happens. I spend way too much time resizing my document windows! I would like to be able to set a default size for opening InDesign documents that is smaller than my entire 27″ screen. Is this possible?

      I just started recently having this problem. And even with a file I'm working on. I'll be paging away and all of a sudden my document has jumped up and behind.
