Is it possible to disable all font hinting during export to PDF?
We utilize TrueType, Open-type TT, Open-Type PS, and type 1 fonts (we are working to get rid of those type 1s…)

We are troubleshooting variations in PDFs and I believe that how the hinting is interpreted at various times (during export to PDF, during display in Acrobat, post-rip by offset vendor’s system, by digital proofing software for comparisons, etc.) is a possible cause.

I’d love to re-export test files in a manner that no hinting is embedded, and therefore this is nothing for these systems to interpret differently.

While not an ‘at time of export’ solution, I did learn that running Acrobat fix ‘convert type to outlines’ effectively removes any hinting from the type. By converting, we are left with only the non-hinted vector outline of every glyph.
