      Hi there

So i am working on a kids book with illustrations, provided by the client in PDF form. But the images are scans so they have the colour of the paper surrounding the actual drawing. I would like to know if there is a way in Indesign to magic wand the surrounding paper colour away, so that just the illustrations remain and don’t upset the pure white look of the page in ID.

I don’t know photoshop all that well, so i am trying to avoid a solution that involves Photoshop.

Thank you, any help most appreciated!!!

Nope, that’s image editing, so it requires Photoshop.
However, if the background is super light, you might get away with setting the blending mode to Multiply in the Effects panel.
