Data Merge option missing from drop down menu

      I am using InDesign CS 1.1 (I believe) and have used the data merge feature in the past, most recently two months ago. I was trying to use it again and the option has disappeared from my “Window” menu. I have tried reinstalling just InDesign but it still hasn't appeared. Any suggestions, PLEASE!!!?
