    Hi everyone
    I’m using data merge to change icon on my page
    I’v created my own font, with my own icons…
    in my DB the data column is easy as A…B…C…D
    When i make display preview everything work perfectly… same if i create merge document
    BUT when i export to PDF… Everything on the page change for each record
    BUT the Icon field stays at the first row for each page
    I’v try with zapf Dingbat font.. and the result is the same ( occur only on export to pdf )
    Does someone have a explanation or a fix

    That is very strange! If you just type with that font on a new InDesign page and export as PDF, does it work correctly? Have you tried exporting to PDF from a different computer?

    Yes it export each character ( icon ) in PDF
    I know that the problem is not my custom font
    It occur with the basic and the oldest icon font ( Zapf Dingbat )
    Im on mac osx 10.9.5
    Indesign CS6

    Ho!
    It something else on my page that create that bug
    If i put ONLY the icon font alone in a blank page
    It work for every record
    I’ll debug and come back with conclusion

    The problem appear when i have Text Overset
    BEFORE previewing ( The Name of the column is longer than the data itself )
    so it Overset and create that glitch
    My Advice: shorter column name
    Thanks David to force me to test outside of my original environment
