CS5 workspace and opening docs

Client has a question and I can't find answer:

I have a question about the desktop set-up in CS5. In CS4 I like to have palettes open on both the left and right — I like to see them open all the time, I do not like the fly-out function. And I put the tools in a row centered at the top. In CS4 I could save this arrangement, and my documents would open in the middle of the screen, in the same place as I put them.

In CS5 I can get the palettes to stay where I want them, but the documents keep opening full screen, behind the palettes. Do you know how I can get them to open aligned at the edge of the palette windows?

      Anyone know?

Are you on a Mac or Windows?

If on a Mac, in CS4 were you using the Application Frame? How about the Application bar, did you use that? When you put your Tools panel in a single row, and you said it “appeared in a row centered at the top” … the top of what? (above doc window title bars but below the control panel? Above the control panel? etc.)

Thanks, Anne-Marie. All I know is that she's on a Mac. She's not online very often, but I've sent her your questions and will let you know if any of it helps. Thank you!
