When I drag the panel with the mouse it’s fine, but when I let go it goes blank.

I can still click button on the panel in the black screen. Then when I hold down the mouse on the title bar I can see what I clicked… so the panel is working, but it’s Blank screen is all I see.

Screen shot – if anyone can help that would be great

      System Specs

      Windows XP SP3

      Intel Core 2 CPU 6400 @ 2.13ghz

      2.00 GB RAM

      Nvidia Quadro FX 3450/4000 SDI

Previous versions' Panel problems could be put down to a possibly problematic (prehistoric) graphics driver. Payed a visit to the NVidia pages yet?

The IT guy is looking into that. But he reckons that the Panel is working and the driver can display it, because it's visible when you drag the panel. I'm going to try updating the driver.

But I only got that graphics card about a year or so ago.

The Panel Works, I can click stuff through the Blank Screen, then I can move the panel to see what I clicked. It's a fun game, but I think I'll tire of it quickly.

Well there seems to be weird devices in my Device Manager

Not sure if that's the issue. I'll have to get the IT guy to do that work though – I could do it but if anything goes wrong then I have nobody to blame

Ok I just tried updating the drivers and there is an error. I'll have to get the tech guy to do it as if I break anything it would not end well for me.

      Panels still wonky.

      Ok I've fixed this

      In the Mini Bridge Panel

I went into Settings (wasn't easy with just a blank screen)

      Appearance

And turned off Colour Manage Panel

And now they all work normally

It was this panel setting that caused havoc.

A colleague has the same monitor and doesn't have this problem.

So some weird setting on my computer or something causes this. When I tick that box the panels go blank again.
