      I switched, mid-project (I know I know), to CS5.5 thinking I could take advantage of the all the new epub features. And they're great, however…

      I had gone through epub verification on the file (cleaning it up in Author, Dreamweaver, etc) brought it through Calibre and made 2 files, epub and a mobi. All is good. Then, the Client makes changes to copy of the book, easy enough to fix, but now I have all these huge errors and issues I cant seem to correct.

      I now have these warnings when I get to Validate EPUB:

      WARNING: TheYogiEntrepreneur.epub: resource OEBPS/fonts/ACaslonPro-Regular.otf cannot be decrypted

      As well as a rogue missing </div> tag that according to the HTML file is fine but Validate says NO it isnt.

      I read somewhere that there is an issue now with fonts but I cant find the solution. Any suggestions?

      Ann Maries' tutorials on Lynda.com have been great, I even fixed the “?” that appeared in these new files from the extra space in the header tag That was Brilliant TIP!

      <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC “-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN” “https://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd”&#62;

      So whats going on with these bugs? Any workarounds for the time being that anyone can suggest?

      I'd appreciate any..

      Michael

      Turn off the Embed Fonts checkbox, which is enabled by default. You'll find it in the Content section of the EPUB Export Options dialog box.
