Ok… just a heads up, I did post this on the Adobe forums (still waiting) but I thought I'd post it here as well, since it is “InDesign Secrets” and it's unofficially the land of InDesign Savants! ;-)
I have an issue that I can not resolved. It's been happening since CS4 InDesign and still continues with CS5. I have no problems printing to our CanoniR C5180 and/or creating PDFs from InDesign. BUT when I turn on all or some of the “Marks/Bleed” in the print dialogue box the whole application unexpectedly quits/crashes.
I've trashed the preferences with the hopes that this would be a quick fix but not dice. Then, I created a NEW document with only a single box, no text and it still crashed. I finally created a new user account and opened it InDesign and it WORKED! I have no idea what InDesign seems to conflict with and have NO idea how to figure it out? Again, it only crashes when I have any or all of the “marks/bleed” check On. Strange. When it does crash it does generate a log but I'm not sure if the log gives any clues as to what caused the crash.
Any help or suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated. Thanks!
