      Hello there!

I'm working with Indesign CS4 coverting a book to epub format and I've run into a bit of a problem.

There are a few jpegs in my document that I cannot get to center when I export to epub. I've tried by centering the achored item which centers the image in indesign, but once I export it to an epub the image always remains flush left. I was able to center text by creating paragraph styles, but I haven't been able to do so for a jpeg.

Also, any thoughts on how to add space after a jpeg?

I feel like I'm missing something. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

      Thank you,

      Jordan

I haven't worked in CS4 for a while, but I believe if you add space before and after the paragraph to which the image is anchored (I'm assuming the images are the only item in their paragraphs) then you'll have space before and after the images in the EPUB.

Not sure about the centering …

      Anne-Marie,

Thank you for the response. I have tried adding space before and space after, but it does not seem to work.

I'm seriously considering just upgrading to CS5.5. Would you say that 5.5 is that much better and easier to create a good looking ebook?

I find that with CS4, I'm having this jpeg centering problem, as well as a couple of other issues that I'm hoping are easier to do with CS5.5

      Thanks again for the input,

      Jordan
