      Hi

My document has artwork that is OK, but when linked to another folder with the same artwork in it, the artwork changes size. They should be 95.0796%, but when I link to the other folder they change to 101.57193874340585%. It is the same artwork, it is just that each book that I'm working on should have the artwork specific for that book in its own folder. So I'm having to link artwork from all the books I'm working on to the original folder, otherwise when updating artwork to their own folder they will change to 01.57193874340585%.

The artwork is Illustrator ai files.

I never had this problem with CS3. Can anyone advise me what the problem is?

      Cheers

You probably want to turn off Preserve Image Dimensions When Relinking, in the File Handling pane of the Preferences dialog box.

      Thanks David.

Your answer cured the changing size problem, but unfortunately the images do not hold the same position within the graphic frame when they are updated – they are graphic icons at the end of heading lozenges and so due to the shift in position the whole graphic is not showing. Do you know how to cure this too? I'm going to have to Package each book as a get-around, but I wouldn't want to keep doing this in future on other projects.

      Cheers
