I have used the built-in script to place a 127-page PDF on 6.125X9″ pages. It places the objects aligned to the page edge. I want them to align to the margins, which are set to .25″ except for the inside edge at .5″, and ideally resized to those margins. Doesn't matter about proportion as I can easily change that with a keyboard shortcut as I need to resize each one manually anyway. I just want to reduce the number of things I need to do to each individual object if I can. It would be nice if it did the proper place and resize automatically in the script, but since that is not part of the script and I cannot edit the script (I can open it, but I cannot understand the code), is there a way to multiple-select objects across all pages and apply the same change to them simultaneously? I am reasonably competent with most InDesign functions, but scripting is not currently in my bag of tricks. Thanks for any ideas.

have a look in the downloads folder of indesignsecrets.com for multipageimporter2.5.jsx which is better than the pdf placer which is shipped with indesign. it does more than place pdfs, it scales, rotates, positions on exact coordinates.

otherwise, if all the pdfs are placed, then this script might do the trick:

if this is what you're after, make sure to thank harbs @ in-tools for the work he put into this one!

Hey collywolly…sorry for the long delay replying, but I did want to express thanks for your very quick reply and suggestion. It worked. It took me awhile to find things on this site. The edit script would have worked wonderfully, except that I discovered each page of the PDF was a slightly different size from the ADF scanning and so I ultimately did have to do the adjusting manually. That importer certainly is a better option than the included script however. Great tools. Thanks again, to you and 'harbs'!
