CS3 document can't be edited

      I've been using CS3 for some time now but recently have been unable to edit files previously saved. When a frame is clicked on using a selection tool the solid blue lined box does not appear. It remains as a dotted line. Likewise text cannot be edited. Pictures can't be moved, etc. This is all in normal view. Interestingly, new frames can be added to the document and edited. Is there an option I've checked somewhere that needs unchecking? What am I missing?

      Two things come to mind.

      1. Have you checked to be sure that these are not master page items?

      2. Have you accidently locked boxes?

      Thank you! They are master page items. I didn't realise I was working on masters. Thought they were pages.
