CS Review is dead. Long live CS Review!

      As of April 12, 2012, Adobe CS Review has been discontinued. Adobe apparently felt it sufficient to post the only notification of CSReview's impending demise on Catalyst (also discontinued), leaving many users in a month of tech support purgatory while we scrambled around trying to route printouts and explain the situation to clients.

      Strangely, the InDesign CSReview panel works great! I was able to view, upload, and comment directly on reviews via the panel, but rest assured, the service is dead and will not be returning. Fellow jilted users of this once great service may contact csreview_feedback@adobe.com and request unarchived PDFs of their hard work.

      I'm posting this info in case anyone is still stuck in tech support purgatory, or holding onto the slim hope that it will be back.

      Having said that, can anyone suggest alternatives for paperless routing? I'd like to upload a pdf to a site that will allow reviewers to comment, approve, and make corrections. Does adobe offer something in the way of replacement in CS6/Creative Cloud?

      This is part of the Creative Cloud, both viewing and commenting. One caveat is that InDesign and Illustrator files will NOT display correctly if they contain live text (the Cloud will substitute available web fonts, so Zapfino will display as Myriad, etc.).

      For review and comment purposes it's best to stick with PDFs and images.
