Hi,
Using 2017.1 release…
I’m working on a 170-page book document with 8 ID files (cover/TOC and 7 chapters). I’ve built a bunch of cross-reference links (using text anchors), and, when I export the book to PDF, about half of the cross-references do nothing when I click on the links. When I check the references, they all _look_ ok, and I can’t see anything that might explain why one would work and another not. (I also make sure all of the cross-references are clean and updated.)
Things get odder: one cross-reference, which didn’t work, started working after I clicked on the reference, changed the PDF appearance to visible rectangle, and reexported the book.
All of the links in the TOC work fine, and the issues are identical whether I use Acrobat or Apple Preview.
I went through the forums here, but couldn’t find anything similar. Thanks for any thoughts or help here.
Rick
(I also get a bunch of OLE_LINK references at the end of my bookmarks, which go to seemingly random links in the PDF. I don’t know if this is part of the problem, but I couldn’t find anything here in the forums about this issue either. They’re easy to remove via Acrobat, and don’t appear to cause problems when removed, but it is one more PITA to remember to deal with at the end of the production process.)
