      Hi there,

I am new to this forum and I hope somebody can help me. I am creating a poster with the following specifications: Width = 350cm and Height = 35cm, (150dpi) Bleed is 5cm.

Can anybody help me how to set up my indesign file in order to get the best outcome for this poster?

I am grateful for any advice :)

Set up your document with the specified dimensions. Draw guides on the pasteboard 5mm outside each edge and ensure that any images or coloured areas that need to be cropped extend, at least, to these boundaries. The crop marks for the printer are created in the print [or PDF export] settings. Check ‘Crop Marks’ You don’t need any ‘offset’ but you can specify it to give a larger blank area outside the artwork, if you wish. and set the ‘bleed’ as 5mm top, bottom, left and right. Hope this helps.

      Konnie,

When you created a New Document, Width: 350cm, Height: 35cm, Bleed: 5cm.

When you export your PDF, remember to choose Crops and Bleeds.
