I’ve recently started doing marketing in one of my companies local centers, and have been asked to create various brochures and material. I’ve just started using InDesign and had a question about how to create an angle. The company I work for uses an an angle as a key visual link to our logo. This foundational element is a 2.3-degree angle. The angle always increases from left to right. It can be used to separate headers and footers, a graphic border element at the bottom of a phot or a call-outbox, or used as a tab or graphics border element at the bottom of a log housing.
      Any help would be appreciated.

I found a good example of how this angle looks on a logo (top left) and for a picture graphic at the top of a webpage.

One way to do this would be:

      1. Create a rectangle
      2. Select the white-arrow “Direct Selection” tool
      3. Deselect by clicking somewhere there are no objects
      4. Click on one of the corners with the tool
      5. Move it up or down by dragging, or pressing the arrow keys on the keyboard, or adjusting the Y value in the Properties or Control panel

David – THANK YOU!!! that worked great. I was a unfamiliar in dealing with the Y value (I haven’t finished your essentials course, yet), but I figured it out. I used the Rotation angle, to get the 2.3 degrees I needed, while making note of the X and Y values pre-angle. I then just changed the X value back to it’s pre-angle value and it was perfect. I appreciated you quick response, thank you again.
