Copy/Paste vs Library

      Weird thing is happening. I’m working on a math workbook with another producer (we exchange some parts of the text once it’s set, as one is doing Math 401 and the other Math 402). Both series are based on the same template; when I copy/paste a question from the other workbook, all the fonts turned into some version of Times (which I do not have on my computer). If I copy their set text to my library and then drag it in my document, everything is as it should. The default settings are identical in my and their files, and we are using the same paragraph and character styles. Any idea why a simple copy/paste would default the text to Times?
