I am copying snipes from one document to another. And when I paste them from document A to document B some or all of the text reverts to what I lovingly refer to as “the stupid pink text of death.” The styles are still there when I paste into document B, they just show overrides. If I option click the overrides the text returns to its normal state. (This happens for both Paragraph styles and object styles.)

All text has been styled with paragraph styles. All of the relevant paragraph styles from document A have been copied to document B via “Load Paragraph Styles” (this does not include “(Basic Paragraph)”). Some of the items even have object styles (which are also identical in both documents) and these object styles have paragraph styles in the object style. None of the styles are based on any other styles (“based on” is set to “[No Paragraph Style]”).

What is even more confusing is it doesn’t happen on all of the snipes. Just some of them. And I can see NO commonality between the ones that do and the ones that don’t.

Anyone else know why this keeps happening and how I can fix it?

P.S. This does not occur when I create a snippet in document A and drag that into document B.
