How do I copy & paste images from one ID to another using the original frames in the document. I need to use the pictures from a new document sent by the client & replace them in the document I 'm currently working on.

I'm a ex-QuarkXpress user so copy & paste using the same pictures boxes (frames) obviously does not work in the same way in ID CS5.

      Thanks

Use the direct select tool to select the image in the first document and then use the selection tool to select the frame in the new document. Choose edit>paste into.

Optionally, you might want to right click that frame first and choose your fitting options before pasting the image in.

That worked. Thanks Bob. This one of the biggest complains that Quark ex-users have when switching to ID. It is just matter to get used to.
