    Hi Salieri, try this one liner Javascript

    app.activeDocument.stories.everyItem().convertBulletsAndNumberingToText();

    It works fine, I have tested it. I have saved this script as “Convert All Bullets to Text.jsx”, just double click it and you are done…

    I had actually seen that script but thought there was a bit more to it than that. Thanks very much, just what I needed.

    Hi Masood,

    I’m interested in using this script to change bullets that are in tables as well as regular text frames. Is there a way to change all bullets regardless of their container?

    Also, I’m wondering if there is a way to script the “Create Outlines” command. I’d like to convert bullets to text, then selectively convert the bullet characters — such as a dingbat character styled to be a checkbox or a radio button — to outlines so they can be made into interactive form elements.
