Hello.
My name is Jason. I am in the process of laying out rock climbing and hiking guidebooks.
I have several issues that all revolve around numbers corresponding with one another. I want to create files that can be updated in the future while still maintaining numbering sequencing.
Basically I have numbered paragraphs that each describe a particular rock climb. The numbers will run through the book consecutively irregardless of chapter etc. (I know how to auto number chapters, paragraphs and pages already.)
With each rock face there is a picture of the face with lines and numbered circles overlayed on the image using PS that show where the cimbs go . Each climb is color coded based on difficulty.
I need to find out if there is a way to have each number show up in a colored circle next to the paragraph instead of just a text number. Then I need the numbered climb on the image to have the same number and colored circle.
1. HOW CAN I MAKE THE NUMBERS NEXT TO THE CHAPTERS SHOW UP IN A COLORED CIRCLE? (The last guy created a numbered circle for each number in each color and applied them by hand.)
2. IS THERE A WAY TO CREATE A “SHORTCUT” DUPLICATE OF THE PARAGRAPH NUMBER THAT CAN BE PLACED WHEREVER I WANT IN THE BOOK THAT WILL CHANGE WHEN I CHANGE THE PARAGRAPH NUMBERS ATRIBUTES?
Thanks so much in advance for any help!!!!
Jason
