      Hey guys,

just signed up to this forum, but have been reading it for a while. Got a small prob. hope some1 can help :)

the other day I tried opening a file some1 sent & it said SHAREDCONTENT.RPLN (that I need to upgrade my plug-ins or my indesign version)

the person works on a pc & I work on a mac.

I dont know what that means but my question for future sharing is:

WHATS THE SAFEST WAY TO SAVE OR EXPORT INDESIGN FILES BETWEEN MAC & PC & ALSO DIFFERENT VERSIONS?

I am asking because in the future I will want to share my indesign templates so Im trying to avoid any problems.

      I currently have cs5

      thanks in advance :)

My guess is that this is not a Mac vs. PC thing, but a version number thing. They probably have CS5.5 and you have CS5, or something like that.

In general, there is very good compatibility between Mac and Windows sharing.

      Thanks David,

      I think ur right!

So can I ask.. Is it better for me to design in cs3? if I am going to be sharing files.

or is there a way to save so every version can open it?

      thanks for your time

      JM
