Good day,
My question goes beyond the scope of InDesign, but I hope someone can help me none the less.
I apply Pantone 269 u to an object in Illustrator, Photoshop & InDesign.
In Photoshop, it comes out as a pale purple.
In Illustrator it comes up as a pale purple.
In InDesign it comes up as a rich (dark) purplely blue.
If I drag the object from InDesign to Photoshop, the object keeps its dark colour.
In Illustrator, in a new document the object is pale purple, however, opening a PDF (created in Illustrator CS3) displays the dark purple. If I copy the object (pale purple) from the new document to the old/imported one, it changes to the dark colour. Similarely, if I copy the dark purple object from the “old” document to the new one, it assumes the pale purple colour.
I have checked my colour settings, everything is OK. I even applied the colour settings from Bridge so they would be the same throughout.
My document are all set to display CMYK (I also tried setting it to RGB).
My monitor is calibrated using Pantone Huey.
I am using CS4 on Mac OS 10.5.8
I have a webpage to show the colour discrepencies listed above.
https://www.spotvin.ca/colours/
Any idea how to solve this so I can have the same colour throughout?
Thank you.
Stephane
