    Hi. I’m just beginning to export print-ready ID files to reflowable ePUBs, and I have little experience in HTML coding. I am trying to export a for-print book file for ePUB. I’ve made changes to the ebook version ID file to fix a number of print-to-ebook issues, but one remains: The chapter numbers (which are generated using a numbered paragraph style on a separate paragraph from the chapter name) keep wrapping to two lines in the ePUB file once exported. The numbers sequence correctly, but all two-digit numbers split across two lines in the ePUB. Is there a way to fix this issue?

    What ePub reader is this happening with, or does it happen with any ePub reader?

    It isn’t happening in Adobe Digital Editions, but it is with Amazon’s Kindle ebook previewer and MS Edge. The ebook is being published via Kindle Direct Publishing, so I’m assuming that what I see with the Kindle previewer is what the reader will see, not what is in Digital Editions.
