Is there a way to update text on a page to the text frame parameters when applying a new master with a text frame?

I’ve always had to do this manually, but any automation would be great! I have a saddle-stitch catalog layout (single pages) that I’ve had to remove pages to. It was a 28 page and now is 24. I moved pages around to make the edits, but now most of the pages had to change their master page as there’s a left page master and a right page master. The text frame in each master has different inset settings.

When I do changes like this, I’ve always manually applied the masters then have to go into each page and change their page inset properties. I bet I could at least set up an object style—which I have not… but is there a way to apply the master settings to a text frame that’s already been changed from the template?

Object styles would be a great start.
There are some other tricks for making text more flexible when it moves from left to right hand pages, such as using the Align Away from Spine spine… but sometimes, it just requires manual cleanup.

Thanks as always David! I was incorrect in that I did already set up object styles with shortcuts to update each page quickly. I was hoping there would be some sort of hidden feature to get a page to conform to the text frame on the master. While mine was only 24 pages, I’d hate to see what it would be like with hundreds of pages!

I do try to layout documents with margins that aren’t affected by a Left/Right page, but sometimes it’s not an option.

I was also looking into batch master applying. Is that possible? I saw in the settings that you could apply to multiple pages, but it appeared to be manual. Even a dropdown of Even/Odd pages would be helpful in that regard opposed to manually entering each page…
