I have a table style where I have mapped which cell styles are to be used for body rows, left column and right column. However the rows and columns show up with cell style “none” in the actual table, and when I try to adjust the inset spacing in the cell styles for body rows, left column and right column – nothing happens. There is no override in the table style. What am I doing wrong?

Cell and table styles are among the more confusing features in InDesign.
The fact that the cells show up as “None” is okay… but if you put your text cursor inside one of those cells (like one of the left column) and then look in the lower-left corner of the Cell Styles panel, you should see the name of your cell style there.

Thank you! :) It turned out I had to change the inset values for all three cell styles for the body rows, in order for them to take effect. The larger inset value of one style probably blocked the others, since they were all on the same row, I think.
