Can’t select text, type tool turns to selection tool

      Having an InDesign issue here. I can’t edit my text. When I go to select the text it automatically changes to the selection tool (pointer tool) and moves the entire text box object. No matter what I do, I cannot edit the text. Double clicking doesn’t work, or triple clicking. My InDesign version is 16.1.0.20 in Big Sur, all updates have been done. I even tried to go back a version of InDesign and same issue. Happens on all working files. Everything was fine yesterday, and now I can’t work on my documents I worked on yesterday. Also have reinstalled InDesign and still the same issue.

      UPDATE: Problem solved. For some reason InDesign was hung up on something. I restarted InDesign several times and the problem still persisted. I even restarted my computer earlier this morning. I decided to try a complete restart of my computer again to see if that would help and that did it. Some sort of weird bug I guess. Thank you all for your suggestions.
