Can’t find Photoshop files to place in INDD?

I spend several hours the other day cropping and isolating files to place in the InDesign catalog. When I opened INDD today, I would not find those files. I searched on my computer, in my cloud drive, but no luck. When I open the files in Photoshop, it looks like they have been saved to the cloud, since there is a little cloud icon next to them. But When I’m in InDesign, the place command does not find them. After a frustrating hour rying to solve this, I have decided that since I can open the file in Photoshop, I will simply do a SAVE AS and save them to my hard drive where INDD will see them. Bu that makes more work. Any ideas or solutions to this? Thanks.

As far as I know, InDesign cannot open Photoshop files saved in the cloud yet.

Make sure your linked files are downloaded from the cloud.
Use the “package” command, the text file (usually called “instructions”) should tell you the location of the offending links.

Thanks. I suspected as much. The frustrating thing is that unless one is diligent, the default seems to be to save files to the cloud, which I had apparently done without intending to. I will likely be more diligent from now on, until the next unexpected changes occur. Grrr…
