Please bear with me. The table is a complicated mess… and it’s hard for me to explain without showing pictures…
A design firm created a table for our colour coded clinical trials listing. The table has two columns. Column A is narrow and made up of three rows. The top row is filled with a colour that corresponds with the type of trial it belongs to. Column B has the name of trial, investigators, etc. When I need to add new trials to the table, i have to add a row then select column A, split it, then select the bottom row and split it again thus creating 3 rows. This was the designer’s instructions. This method is incredibly laborious.
Is there a way for me to duplicate the row attributes when i add new rows below the row I want duplicated?
Also, when I need to move a row to another area in the table, I can’t copy and paste because the row pastes into Column B and throws the formatting off. I again have to add a row then split column A twice before I paste the text into column B. Is there a way to paste a row into a table and keep all the row’s cells and text?
This table is hard to work with and I’m looking to make it easier to update. What can I do? I don’t suppose there’s a way to create a table that has rows with two columns, one of which has three cells…
Thanks for any help!
