Hi, everyone,
I have a design idea that I would like to try for a manual I am working on. I would like to restrict my paragraphs to a relatively narrow width, while allowing my headlines to span the full width of a the same text frame. I would absolutely love it if there was an option in span/split columns like, “restrict this style to inside column only”; that would work beautifully. (I don’t want the text to flow into the outside column – just continue to the next page). As far as I know, though, that is just a pipe dream for now. Another solution would be if I could draw a text box of an appropriate width for the paragraphs, and allow the headline text to break that box, and remain wider. So far, the only solution I’ve found is to place my headlines in their own textboxes, and then anchor them into the text. I don’t love this solution; can anyone think of anything better?
