OK, so normally when you sync a book the styles are updated to reflect the changes to the styles. Normal becomes bold, Left justified becomes centered, etc. across all versions of the style used within each document contained within the book.

I am experiencing something weird when syncing styles to update the book documents.

On one particular document when updating, the previously assigned styles for, say, Header and SubHead are changed to Body. InDesign does not update the styles, it changes the styles which have been previously applied to the text. No matter how many times I change them back, if I update styles, they’re changed from the assigned styles to Body.

Has anyone seen this type behavior before? Thanks in advance to any help provided!
