      Hi,

I’m doing a book which has 7 sections and each section contains 7-4 chaptes (5-10 pages).
My dilemma is: should I split the book into 7 sections (files) or into 35 chaptes?
Which do you think is easier to manage and edit?

      Thank you for your answers.

How kind of book? If it’s pretty much straight going and not complicated, just leave it as one file.

Leave it as it is, unless the job is very heavy and slow to work on.

InDesign’s Book feature is amazing to work with very lage jobs. On small ones, it makes no sense :)

      Hi,

thank you for your replys. :)

@Dwayne: The chapters are professional articles from different authors with tables and graphs (imported as pictures).
I will have to go back and adjust some pictures and page breaks so I decided to divide the book into 10 files. I thought it’s too much of a scrolling up and down to find the chapters and make corrections and checking further pages. There will be around 400 pages.

Yes, InDesin’s Book is such an amazing tool to work with. I love working with it even thou I know there are much more features to make work easier I haven’t learnt yet. But slowly getting there :))
