Blue boxes around words inside a text frame

      Suddenly my document has changed and the header and footer in the master pages appeares with a blue box around each word inside a text box. A bit difficult to explain in writing, but it is NOT a bounding box that is showing. Is there any way to attach an image? This is not printing, and disappeares when I change to presentation mode, but it is SO annoying! Please can anyone help me get rid of this? Indesign CC2015

        What version of InDesign? PC or Mac?

        To post a pic, you need to have it stored somewhere like DropBox or something like that.

      Other questions: only this one document, or all docs? Could it be hyperlinks? Is Type > Hidden Characters on or off?
      If you export to IDML and then open the IDML, does it go away?
