      Hi, wondered if anybody has an answer to this. I recently updated my Indesign CC 2018 and had a file that was corrected about a week ago. Its a 36 page brochure that is on its 5th edition in two years. Much to my astonishment the file was blank including the master pages yet the images were shown in the links. When I clicked on a link I received an error message that the image was not visible as it was on a layer yet no layers were used in the file! In the end I went back to version 4 and redid ALL the corrections from a week ago. Have never seen this happen before.

      Never seen that either, Neil. Did you try exporting as IDML? It’s also a good habit to Save As over your InDesign file occasionally to clear out the cobwebs (technical term).
