Best App for Web Ads and Email Blasts

      Got a new client that I’m doing exclusively web ads. I’ve been doing ads in ID and then exporting as JPG or PDF and opening in PS to check dimensions. Would I be better served building ads in PS. Thx.

      This is an ongoing topic with arguments on all sides. :-)

      For example, we had some back and forth in this InDesignSecrets group thread on facebook: https://www.facebook.com/groups/indesignsecrets/permalink/2743409765893502/

      I personally love doing my layout in InDesign, then exporting to PDF or PNG; I then open that in Photoshop, tweak it if necessary, and use Save for Web (or Export) to make a good quality web graphic.

      You can also use the in5 plug-in from Ajar to make animated HTML web ads (or animated gifs) from InDesign. Pretty amazing.
