So the client is using staples and they were useless in helping me with a spiral bound workbook.

They did say a single page flattened PDF and when I asked about margins they just said they will fit it and maybe a 1/2 inch would work…WTS?

So my question is…should the inset margins be slightly larger to make sure everything looks more centered once the spiral bound is inserted. Inset 3/4 of a margin and top/bottom/outer side 1/2 inch?

I am doing this in photoshop mainly and then bringing in to indesign for some layout..it is not text heavy so I can get away with that but need help with margins.

Also if I lay the document out with facing pages is there a way to separate them in the pdf dialogue box so it saves as single pages…should I just design as single pages since that is what staples wants?

      Thanks

Your 1/2 margins are okay for Staples. You mean Staples the store correct? Spiral bound is no big deal honestly. Your plan for layout will work. Layout in facing pages. Use 3/4 on inside margin and 1/2 on others.

How many pages in your publication?

You can easily pull pages apart at any point. Upstream or downstream. You can do it in InDesign, on export, or on Acrobat. It’s sort of a basic thing….

Question? Why are you using PS?
