I run a session each year on beer tasting with over 100 judges and often set up a ballot for them to fill in.

Sometimes we collect the ballots for evaluation after and some are reluctant to fill in their name but often will fill in a code so we can identify ballots on a number of qualitative criteria even while keeping them nameless.

What I'd like to know is it possible to rapidly prepare each ballot for printing with Ballot Number 1 – 150 say successively without going in Writing “1” printing, writing “2” printing etc. I actually wonder if this might be a script more for Acrobat rather than InDesign but I figured someone would have a wiz answer on this one. I know you can do barcodes this way but in this case it is not as complex as needing a major code such as that. Just a simple successive numbering.

      Thanks for any input,

      Gary.

So .. you want a single ID file, with each ballot form with a number of its own? (Ab-)use the page number for this, I'd say.

Read https://creativepro.com/mak…..ickets.php for more pointers on numbering.

      Jongware,

Thanks I'll read this article shortly. I made a PDF of it so I can view at leisure. Sounds like it could be the way to go.

      Gary.
