My google-fu is failing me. I’m remembering an article? video? where someone cleverly automated the placement and text of bleed-edge tabs down the right side of the spread, but I can’t find it.

I’m not even sure I have an industry standard name for what I’m looking for. Bleed-edge tabs = the blocks of color running down the edge of the pages of a long document providing visual division, sometimes with a different placement on the page for each section, sometimes just a different color, sometimes both! InDesign Magazine Issue 123 has an example of a top bleed-edge tab, Figure 25 on p.20.

Anyone know the name for what I’m talking about? And the automation of the placement of them?

      Thanks

Side tabs! And that is the article I was vaguely remembering. Thank you!
