How do I set up my InDesign document to automatically add Master Pages to my document based on the amount of copy I am Placing?

      Is this even possible?

I assume you mean you want it to add document pages, not master pages… yes?

Shift-click with the Place cursor will do it.

You can also do this with the Auto Page feature in Blatner Tools (dtptools.com/bt)

Isn't there an option in the Preferences in CS4 to add pages as you're typing? Can't remember where – not on the computer with CS4 til later today.

Yes, add document pages that are based on the master. we just downloaded the plug-in EasyFlow as a trial and it limited me to 11 pages, not sure if this is because it's a demo still and we have not purchased it yet.

If I want to Place a 100 page word doc file, how can I automatically do it without having to insert that many pages and link all the text boxes manually?

As I noted earlier: Shift-click when you place.
