Automatic reference and copy of content between layers?

      Is it possible to have text content on 1 layer (eg price box) to be automatically copied to a field in another layer ? Project is bilingual product literature. To avoid correcting (manually) the same price twice on different layers, it would be ideal if I could just correct one, and this content could be “automatically’ copied to another layer. Not necessarily at the same coordinates. Letter boxes can shift. I was thinking of the mechanics regarding cross-references. But is there something else ?
