    Hello,

    Anybody know how to make a template, for my invoices, so that every time i open it, it opens with a new number?

    Would you be creating new pages? If so, you either use auto page numbers or a numbered list paragraph style.

    Hi Bob,

    With a one page template when you open it u get a new ‘untitled’ document, i would love to set up my template so that every new doc. has a new number, say in my template i put in ‘DE_21’ how do i get to get ‘DE_22’, ‘DE_23’ and so on on the new documents?

    The best route is what Bob mentioned, by using automatic page numbering. I'm not sure why you would want to have separate documents for each invoice. In fact, I'm not sure why you would even want to use InDesign for invoicing. It's not a practical use for your billing. For that I would use an application like “Billings” by Marketcircle. It's a way better solution for invoicing and keeping track of projects/clients.
